On The Need to Audit one’s life…
One of life mainstay is growth, growth, as used here entails offsetting erstwhile thinking and orientation and making way for new, rational and better ones.
Look back, let’s say five years in hindsight, it’s obvious you are not the same person you were back then – your thinking, intuitions and gut feelings got better than they were five years ago.
Over the years life has taught you lessons; you’ve made mistakes, learnt from same and now you are applying lessons learnt and experiences gathered into practical aspects of your life/brand today.
In a way I’d say life has audited your rather crude thinking, life has given you the wherewithal to grow and make the most of every situation and opportunity through lessons learnt and learnings encountered.
I did an audit of my social media accounts:
I looked back at posts from way back (six years ago) and the thought process behind them lacked lustre – they were utterly ridiculous.
My thinking back then was embryonic, had no concise form or direction; they were outright silly, so silly I had to delete em all.
The progression from back then to now has been nothing short of amazing.
My philosophies and ideals aren’t fully formed – at least not yet, but I feel I have an inkling of what they are and where they might lead me.
I constantly do a sincere audit of my life and brand, I check the oddities therein and trim them to reflect present realities and wants.
The long walk to an audited life is inevitable if you care so much for your brand/life.
